I-695 project work to close multiple lanes overnight for weeks in Baltimore County
BALTIMORE -- Multiple lanes on the Beltway in Baltimore County will be closed overnight on Thursdays through Sundays for the next several weeks due to road work on the next phase of the I-695 project.The lane closures will start on Sunday, July 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the I-659 inner loop at I-70 toward I-83.Crews will be striping the highway and adjusting concrete barriers to accommodate a traffic switch to the right. Police investigate a fatal crash in Dundalk
Dundalk police officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday, July 14, at approximately 10:15 a.m. Precinct 12 officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Dundalk Avenue and Center Place. A preliminary investigation determined a 2010 Jeep Liberty was turning southbound onto Dundalk Ave when it was struck by a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle. The driver of the Suzuki, 35-year-old Joshua Bernert, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Crash Team are investigating.
