After six games against their division rival and top competition in the American League, Keith is ready to admit that the Orioles are simply better than the Yankees right now.

“Right now, the Orioles are a better team than the Yankees…I’ll admit it,” Keith said. “After watching six games against the Orioles, and the record being 4-2 in favor of the Orioles, stop making excuses. Stop making excuses saying Judge was hurt, Judge wasn’t in the game, Verdugo was on paternity leave, stop making excuses.

“The Orioles aren’t making excuses for not having their pitching. How many starting pitchers are they missing? John Means and Kyle Bradish, they’re not making excuses for what they don’t have.”

The O’s, after taking three of four from the Yanks in Baltimore earlier this season, have a chance to win another series against the Bombers on Thursday afternoon, and Keith says it shows who is the better team right now, although things can change drastically after the trade deadline.

“If this was a series, it would be Orioles in six, and they have a good shot [Thursday] to go up 5-2 in the season series and be in first place by the weekend,” Keith said.

“That’s a scary thought…you’ve got an upstart team in the division that won 100 games last year and are under new ownership.”
