C-Mac rips Yankees 'pathetic, embarrassing' handling of Aaron Judge HBP after losing series to O's

As the Yankees drop another series to the potent Orioles, C-Mac is still left steaming over what happened on Wednesday night, when a retaliation for Aaron Judge resulted in a pivotal run in what was a 7-6 loss, which C-Mac says could have wound up deciding the series.

C-Mac went off on the “embarrassing” way the Yankees and the fans handled Judge being plunked on the hand, and how it became the storyline of the series while Baltimore focused on winning ballgames.

“They got absolutely embarrassed, and I’m still hung up on it,” C-Mac said. “Yeah, they got pounded 17-5…the catcher threw the ball into left field. Embarrassing. They’re pitching Trevino at the end. Embarrassing…but you know what really embarrassed me? How they handled the retaliation thing with Aaron Judge. Embarrassing.

“The idea that the fanbase was clamoring for it at such a level was pathetic…it feels like the Yankees hitting Henderson comes off soft. It comes off pathetic. ‘We can’t tolerate one single pitch getting away to Aaron Judge.’ Meanwhile, the Yankees have hit the Orioles more than the Orioles have hit the Yankees, even before all this. It just felt so pathetic.”

Had the Yankees simply tried to get Gunnar Henderson out instead of plunking him in the seventh inning of Wednesday’s game, perhaps the Bombers come back and steal the middle game and clinch the series win, and they leave the series with a much more optimistic feel. Instead, there is just frustration.

“They have to respond, and the guy scores,” C-Mac said. “They end up winning the game by one run in extra innings, and then they pound them.”
