Even just looking at someone writing that looks/sounds/is funny, but it was put out there this afternoon?

“I've got no evidence from this series that would tell me that the 48-25 Orioles are significantly better than the 51-25 Yankees, because over 75 games they're basically evenly matched,” Evan said in discussing this week’s series that saw Baltimore take two of three, the last one in convincing fashion.

And that’s when Shaun Morash, he of ‘get ruthless at the deadline,’ jumped in.

“Did Gunnar Henderson ever make an out versus any of the pitchers not named Luis Gil?” Shaun asked.

“What does that prove to you?” Evan asked, to which Tiki responded: “It just proves that he's a great player, a great young player.”

And Shaun with the dagger:

“He might be the best player between the two teams,” he said.

Evan says: that’s a no from me, dawg.

“That’s not true. Are you saying he’s better than Aaron Judge?” Evan asked. “I’ll take Soto out because he had an awful defensive series, but you think as of right now, Gunnar Henderson, who is very young and might become this by the way, but as of right now, you think Gunnar Henderson is a better all-around player than Aaron Judge? Say it.”

“He’s got more F-U in him than Judge,” Shaun replied, “based on everything that I've seen this year watching any Orioles-Yankees game. When he comes up to the plate, I just feel like it is impossible to get him out, and it feels like, you know what, you can get Aaron Judge and Juan Soto out.”

Tiki is not having THAT.

“You can't, you can't take what we know about Aaron Judge, which is his personality, and compare it to someone else, especially a young player who hasn't fully established himself as a superstar like Aaron Judge is, and then malign Aaron Judge, because the series have gone bad,” Tiki said.

“It’s not meant to slight Judge or Soto, but that is the one team I could definitively say when the Yankees line up and play against them, I am not sure that we have the full-on edge with the best player on the field," Shaun said. "Every two innings, I gotta have a knot in my throat that this guy's coming up and he's gonna wreck the game, and I don’t feel that versus any other team.”

“And what does that mean?” Evan asked. “Gunnar Henderson is a brilliant young player and there's a chance that three years from now we'll look back at this discussion and say Gunner passed him, but he's only 23 years old.
