Ravens fix one of their biggest worries in way-too-early ESPN 2025 NFL mock draft

One part of the 2024 Baltimore Ravens team to worry about is the offensive line and that is no secret. When you lose three starters along the offensive trenches, it is difficult to make up for that.

Baltimore is looking for new starters at right tackle and both guard spots. Rookie Roger Rosengarten is the likely candidate to start at right tackle and guards Ben Cleveland and Andrew Vorhees are leading the way to start on the sides of center Tyler Linderbaum.

It is safe to say that Baltimore is doing a lot of rebuilding in the trenches and that is something that could continue into the next draft. ESPN’s Matt Miller mocked an SEC guard to the Ravens in his recent mock draft that is a bit early.

“The Ravens lost guards John Simpson and Kevin Zeitler to free agency and did very little to replace them, relying now on backup Ben Cleveland and former seventh-rounder Andrew Vorhees . Booker, meanwhile, is the best guard in the nation and would have likely been the top true guard in the 2024 draft class had he been eligible. He's powerful and pancakes defensive linemen with ease. In 2023, he surrendered just four pressures and one sack over 13 starts at left guard. This is the type of no-nonsense interior blocker whom the Ravens covet.” - Matt Miller, ESPN

According to Pro Football Focus , Booker has allowed just a pair of sacks in over 1,000 pass-blocking snaps while at Alabama. There is a legit case to make that the Crimson Tide product may be the first at his position taken off the board next spring. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 352 pounds, there is nothing small about Booker, who can absorb interior force from stout interior rushers.

A lot can happen between now and next April but Booker seems like a safe pick that would give the Ravens a potential longtime starter on the interior of the offensive line. Pairing him with Linderbaum especially would be a smart move. If the offensive line can surprise some people and be a force in 2024, then maybe the Ravens won’t be picking this early at the position.

Lamar Jackson is the franchise in Baltimore and protecting him is a top priority. A very good SEC starter is an ideal candidate to do the job. For now, the Ravens have a goal of competing for the Super Bowl and making a playoff run again.
