Things have been heating up between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles all season long. On Friday night, the tension boiled over after Yankees pitcher, Clay Holmes hit Orioles rookie outfielder, Heston Kjerstad, in the head with a pitch. We now have a brilliant lip read and breakdown of the entire incident.

Jomboy Media, who is extremely popular in the baseball world, released his lip read and breakdown on the Yankees-Orioles bench-clearing brawl. He provides some history between the two teams this season then dives into the incident that happened on Friday night. Watch the clip for yourself below.

It's not a great look that the Yankees have hit Orioles players that often this season. So, Baltimore has every right to be upset with the incident. Even if Clay Holmes' pitch was entirely accidental.

Luckily, Kjerstad didn't sustain a serious injury. He was left out of the lineup for Saturday night's game and was eventually placed on the concussion Injured List. As of now, nobody was given a suspension. However, the MLB could deliver some punishments in the coming days.

Overall, it was an ugly and wild scene. Outside of Heston Kjerstad, it doesn't appear any other players were injured in any way. But the bad blood between the Yankees and Orioles is more real than ever.

The Yankees have taken two of the three games so far in this series against the Orioles. At the very least this is a good sign for New York to get back on track after hitting a recent slump. As for Baltimore, they could lose the lead of the AL East if New York can win the third game of the series on Sunday night.

No matter how you look at it, the AL East is coming down to the wire. With the All-Star break right around the corner, both the Yankees and Orioles will aim to get hot in the final few months of the regular season.

After this series, the Yankees and Orioles won't play each other again until late September. That means tension between the two teams should higher than ever before. Depending on the rankings by late September, New York and Baltimore could be fighting to clinch first place of the AL East.

Clay Holmes has had a decent year coming out of the bullpen for the Yankees. He's accumulated a solid 2.82 ERA with 40 strikeouts, and 21 saves. Meanwhile, Heston Kjerstad is a highly touted rookie who has recorded a .314 batting average with three home runs and 12 RBIs for the Orioles.
