** A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for central Maryland and the Eastern Shore till 10:00 PM EDT. **

Good Wednesday everyone! It's still hot y'all. Extreme heat mixed with humidity continues with highs in the upper 90s with heat index values well into the triple digits. Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings will go into effect from 11 AM - 8 PM today. This will fuel the development of showers and storms around mid to late afternoon. Anything that pops up today has the potential to be strong/severe. Damaging winds and flash flooding are the top concerns. A Flood Watch goes into effect from 2 PM through tonight for the Baltimore metro as rainfall rates up to 2" per hour are possible in these thunderstorms. Highs approach more seasonal levels late-week and this weekend with temperatures in the upper-80s and low-90s. There is a chance for isolated storms on Saturday, while Sunday looks mostly rain-free. The weather pattern looks more unsettled early next week.
