Free agent safety Eddie Jackson has signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens. View the veteran’s contract details below.

    Eddie Jackson Contract Details

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jackson is signing a one-year deal with the Ravens.

Jackson spent the last seven seasons with the Chicago Bears, the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Jackson, 30, is a two-time Pro Bowler (2018, 2019) and earned First-team All-Pro honors in 2018. During Jackson’s All-Pro season, Jackson set career highs in interceptions (6), passes defended (15), and touchdowns (3).

Injuries have hampered Jackson’s career, missing multiple games over the last three seasons.

In seven seasons, Jackson has started 100 games and accumulated 459 tackles, 15 interceptions, 44 passes defended, and 10 forced fumbles. Jackson’s six defensive touchdowns are tied for the third most in the Bears’ franchise history.

The Bears released Jackson in February.

Eddie Jackson Looks To Bolster Ravens Defense

By signing Jackson, the Ravens add another veteran to the back of the defense.

The Ravens’ safety room includes veteran Marcus Williams and Kyle Hamilton, who made First-team All-Pro last season.

Jackson reunites with linebacker Roquan Smith, who was traded to the Ravens from the Bears in 2022.

Baltimore finished the 2023-2024 regular season with an excellent 13-4 record, good enough for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

After defeating the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round, the Ravens fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship by a score of 17-10.

The Ravens play the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 1.
