The Ravens are loading up in their secondary.

The reigning No. 1 seed in the AFC added two-time Pro Bowler and former Bears safety Eddie Jackson, who was released in February, to a one-year contract, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport .

Jackson, who will turn 31 in December, is entering his eighth season in the NFL.

He will once again be teammates with linebacker Roquan Smith and join one of the league’s elite defenses.

The safety was originally selected No. 112 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft coming out of the University of Alabama, where he earned the College Football Playoff national title game defensive MVP in 2016 for his performance in the Crimson Tide’s win over Clemson.

In the game, Jackson recorded three tackles and an interception, though he fell in the 2017 draft after breaking his leg the following season.

With the Bears, Jackson entered the league as a full-time starter as a rookie despite being a day-three draft pick.

Jackson was a first team All-Pro in 2018 and made back to back Pro Bowls in 2018 and 2019 for his performances.

He suffered a season-ending Lisfranc injury during a Week 12 loss against the New York Jets in 2022 but returned to his starting role this past season.

In his career, he has played — and started — in 100 games, recording 15 interceptions and 10 forced fumbles in seven seasons with the Bears.
