Baltimore Ravens’ 2024 season is one where they have lofty expectations that they hope to meet. Their biggest free agency addition running back Derrick Henry plays a big role in getting there .

Henry helps build a one-two punch with Lamar Jackson that probably won’t be replicated around the NFL. Defenses will have a ton of pressure on them to stop the running threat that the two can create.

One big worry with it all though is the age of Henry. The former All-Pro will turn 31 during this NFL season and has over 2,000 carries in eight seasons. Still, Henry says he feels good and is ready to go.

"I feel good. I don't really try to worry about that. I don't know, it's kind of funny; ever since high school, [from] the time I got 56 carries in a game, 57 the next week. [In] college, [I got] 44, 46. [In the] NFL, [I got] 30, 35. I really think it's just your mindset and how you take care of your body and not get too caught up on [the] 'he say, she say.' If it works, and you feel good, then just keep working and keep doing what you do,” Henry told the media on Monday.

In Tennessee, the whole offense was built around Henry and that will not be the case in Baltimore. Henry’s body won’t have to worry about being tackled over 300 times in a season. With the Titans, Henry ran the ball more than 300 times in three seasons. At the peak, the Titans handed him the ball 378 times in 2020.

This late in his career, Henry has one goal on his mind and one place he wants to reach with the Ravens.

"Super Bowl. That's the goal. That's the goal. Super Bowl. I mean, that's always been the goal, but Super Bowl is definitely where I'm at now, so yes. I've had chances and got close, but that's what it is right now."
