Who is the greatest NFL player of all time? John Harbaugh certainly thinks that Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson has the potential. In a recent media appearance, the head coach said that his goal is to turn Lamar into the GOAT.

"The vision that we have together is that Lamar Jackson is going to become and be known and be recognized as the greatest quarterback ever to play in the history of the National Football League," Harbaugh said.

Recently, Jackson was asked about his coach's lofty expectations for him. The Ravens star responded by saying that he believes Tom Brady is the GOAT.

""I'm not the GOAT, Tom Brady is the GOAT.", Jackson said, according to Sarah Ellison. "But I believe that is motivation. I appreciate that [from coach]. I'm still on my way."

These are humble words from Jackson. The Ravens star is already one of the best players of his generation. He has won two MVPs and had multiple incredible seasons.

Really, the only knock on Lamar Jackson is the lack of playoff success. 2023 was only the first season that Jackson led the Ravens to the AFC Championship Game. And even there, they lost to the eventual champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jackson knows that to challenge the GOAT, you need to match his records at least. He's got a long way to go before even matching half of Brady's record. Still, that humility and dedication should serve the Ravens well in his pursuit of that goal.
