From the Baltimore Festival to begin August and the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival to close out the month, there are lot of things to mark on your to-do calendar.
Baltimore Festival
Aug. 1-3 at Johnson Park, Baltimore
Featuring live entertainment on two stages, a queen's contest, a baby pageant, a parade, and a cruise-in on top of rides, food, craft vendors, and more, there is plenty going on at the Baltimore Festival .
Wands & Wizards Weekend 2024
Aug. 8-10, various locations in the county
With a schedule packed with events Wands & Wizards Weekend has been magical for Fairfield County.
The list of ways to participate is long and features things such as Dobby's Sock Drive at the Fairfield County Library, specialty wizard-themed drinks at various establishments, Wizard World Ornament Class at Pickerington Public Library, local businesses with special decorations and offerings during the weekend, Spellbinding Handmade Glass at Ohio Glass Museum and much, much more.
Pleasant Township Fire Department Community Day
Aug. 3, Pleasant Township Fire Department, located at 2925 Lancaster Thornville Road, Lancaster
Every year the department hosts this free event to give back to those they serve.
Community Day is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pleasant Township Fire Department.
Local crafters, artisans, and food vendors will be on hand and there are free activities for kids.
Carroll Community Festival
Aug 9-10
The Carroll Community Festival has a pageant, parade, live entertainment, kids games at Bessie Benson Park, and a pie contest.
Buckeye Lake Yacht Club Classic Boat Regatta
Aug. 10
Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the regatta has all types of boats on display.
Boat owners wishing to participate in the show can contact Chris Hebert at 614-419-3844 or by email at ChrisHebert@howardhanna.com. The entry fee for in the water boats is $30 and $25 for boats on a trailer in the parking lot.
The 39th Annual Buckeye Lake Tour of Homes
Aug. 11 Buckeye Winery
The Buckeye Lake Tour of Homes is hosted by the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association and is boat tour that shows off some of the lake's homes that have rich histories and architectural wonder.
The tour will depart three times throughout the day:
- 10:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m.

29th Annual Truck, Tractor & Toy Show by the Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club
Aug. 16-18, Fairfield County Fairgrounds
The Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club will have demonstrations, a craft and toy show, tractor pulls and a parade.
It is free admission and parking.
Tour de Buckeye Lake
Aug. 17
Hosted by Bike Buckeye Lake, this cycling event is for any skill level with three trails of different lengths to use.

Lancaster BrewFest
Aug. 17
More than 24 different craft breweries in Ohio will be participating. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with the VIP tasting, and general admission is at 6 p.m.
The 2024 beer list offers fan favorites from local breweries, featuring Combustion Brewery & Taproom, Brewdog, Jackie O’s, and Lancaster’s very own Double Edge. Several breweries, distilleries, cideries, and wineries have joined the lineup from across Ohio, including Columbus, Athens, Marion, and Newark, among others.

Millersport Sweet Corn Festival
Aug 28-31, 2900 Chautauqua Blvd.
Local favorite McGuffey Lane will be one of the headliners at this year's Millersport Sweet Corn Festival .
Country act Shenandoah and Jimmy Buffet tribute act Parrots of the Caribbean are the other headlining acts.
The event also features a queen contest, parade, food vendors and more.
