Fugitive wanted for home invasion arrested in Maine

A fugitive wanted for a home invasion in Massachusetts has been arrested in Maine.

The U.S. Marshals Service on Tuesday arrested Darell Love, 33, of Springfield, Massachusetts, in Portland on multiple warrants including one count of home invasion, one count of a firearm violation with three prior violent or drug crimes, one count of kidnapping, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of larceny.

After a collaborative investigation involving multiple federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, authorities found Love in a vehicle near 27 Washington St. in Portland and were able to safely apprehend him without incident, according to the marshals service.

Love was arrested at least twice previously for home invasions, according to published news reports.
