A man allegedly burglarized three downtown Bangor businesses over the past several days.

Richard Burrill, 39, was charged with burglary, theft, trespassing and violating his conditions of release, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.

Burrill allegedly burglarized Utopia, Bangor Wine and Cheese, and The Butcher The Baker, all on Hammond Street.

He was identified through surveillance video and arrested on Wednesday, McAmbley said Thursday morning.

Burrill was being held at the Penobscot County Jail.

No additional information was immediately available.
