Civil rights group calls for repeal of Slate Belt weapons discharge ordinance
A civil rights group states it will file a complaint if a Slate Belt community doesn’t repeal a recently passed ordinance that deals with discharging of weapons. Pen Argyl Borough Council voted July 2 to pass Ordinance 732, which increases the fine for discharging a weapon within the borough from $50 to $1,000 and includes fines for people who allow shooting on their property.
