    Police release information on fatal three-vehicle crash involving Barbour County 18-year-old

    HUTTONSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An 18-year-old is dead following a three-vehicle crash in West Virginia.

    According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, deputies responded to a multi-vehicle crash on US Route 219 South near Valley Head and Huttonsville.

    The incident involved three vehicles, two of which sustained significant front-end damage.

    Emergency responders, including members of the West Virginia State Police, local fire departments, and EMS units, attended the scene.

    18-year-old Keaton McDermott from Barbour County did not survive the crash, despite efforts by fire units to extricate them from the wreckage.

    Other occupants received on-site treatment, while two drivers were transported to Davis Medical Center for further care.

    The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to those affected and noted that the crash remains under investigation.
