BARNEGAT - Barnegat Township Police Sergeant Kristopher Burke was recently honored for receiving the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Drug Recognition Award Certificate.

Burke was recognized for his exceptional dedication and efforts in drunk and drugged driving enforcement throughout the 2023 calendar year. His commitment has made a significant impact on the safety of the roads in Banregat.

The MADD New Jersey Law Enforcement Recognition Event, held on June 24, 2024, honored officers like Sergeant Burke who have shown exemplary dedication and implemented unique enforcement strategies in the fight against drunk and drugged driving.

Captain Parsley accompanied Burke to applaud him for his outstanding contributions to Barnegat.
