Main Street paving in Wheeling nears completion
WHEELING, W.Va. — The paving of Main Street in downtown Wheeling is closer to the finish line now that that asphalt has been laid on the left lane. Workers began paving Main Street nearly a month ago. There were setbacks that interfered with the goal of finishing it in 2 weeks.
Post 15 falls in West Virginia American Legion Area 1 Tournament, 4-2
WHEELING — Rain clouds opening up in the late innings Wednesday did little to dampen Wheeling Post 1’s spirits. Post 1 used a big swing from Andrew Skadra and a big defensive play by center fielder Alex Taylor to take a 4-2 victory over Parkersburg Post 15 at Wheeling Park High School in the West Virginia American Legion Area 1 Tournament.
