Barton man faces DUI charges after high-speed motorcycle clocked on I-91
GLOVER — A Barton man was arrested and charged with his second DUI after leading police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 91 on June 28. Vermont State Police said that around 3:30 p.m., while monitoring traffic from a stationary U-turn, they heard a motorcycle accelerating and observed it speeding in the passing lane.
Brownington man identified as shooter in 2023 homicide
WHEELOCK — Vermont State Police have identified the shooter in a fatal October 2023 incident but will not file charges due to the perpetrator’s death. Authorities say Gary Larocque, 40, of Brownington, fired the shot that killed Gunnar Watson, 27, at Watson’s Wheelock home on Oct. 16, 2023. Watson was shot while standing in his doorway at about 5:50 a.m.

Sutton man reports stolen dirt bike, police seek information
SUTTON — Vermont State Police are seeking the public’s help after a dirt bike was reported stolen from a Lyndonville man’s residence Thursday evening. Lance Brigham, 36, of Lyndonville, contacted authorities around 4 p.m. Friday to report that his 140cc Tao Tao DBX-1, colored orange and blue, had been taken from his front yard on Burke Road in Sutton.
