International children's swimming school to open newest location in Peoria
Aqua-Tots Swim School is bringing its world-renowned programs to the greater Peoria area. The swim school franchise announced last week it will open a location at 7713 Orange Prairie Road in Peoria near The Shoppes at Grand Prairie. The school has more than 150 locations worldwide, including three in Illinois: Peoria, Wheaton and Orland Park.

Morton 3-ON-3 Hoops Basketball Tournament champions announced
The 24th Annual Morton 3-ON-3 Hoops Basketball Tournament was held on Saturday June 29, 2024, in the Bethel Lutheran School gymnasium. Nine teams participated in the Men’s Division, six teams competed in the 15 - 18 Division, and two teams competed in the 11 - 14 Division, with the tournament proceeds going toward Bethel Lutheran Church’s high school youth basketball program.
WGCA GPA Rankings Released: Bradley 17th
Peoria, IL - Bradley Golf finished 17th out of 249 NCAA Division 1 schools in overall GPA from the 2023-24 season the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced Tuesday Afternoon. The Braves achieved a 3.825 GPA, the best of any Missouri Valley team, under the direction of head coach Halley Morell.
District 52 announces upcoming tryouts, practice
Washington Middle School baseball tryouts will begin Monday, August 5, 2024, and continue August 6. Tryouts for grades 7-8 will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. behind Washington Middle School. Tryouts for sixth grade will be 12- 2 p.m. Students must have a current physical examination and a copy of their birth certificate on file in the WMS office before tryouts begin. Please do not bring a copy of the physical to the coach.
