LeBron James’ eldest son, Bronny , fulfilled his dream of making it to the NBA as the Los Angeles Lakers drafted the USC Trojans guard with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 draft.

Although Bronny has yet to debut for the Lakers, many are already critical of the 19-year-old. After all, he averaged a mere 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game during his freshman year at college. Most fans are certain if he didn’t have his last name, there is no chance that the Lakers would have welcomed him into the organization after an underwhelming season with the Trojans.

Bronny’s NBA 2k25 rating is revealed

With the Olympics over, fans have shifted their focus to the next big thing ahead of the regular season: NBA 2k25. The video game is set to be released globally on September 06, 2024.

Evidently, fans are eager to find out the ratings of their favorite players. Speaking of which, the 2024 draft class rating was recently unveiled, with No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Rascher leading the pack.

Considering Bronny was a late second-round draft pick, no one expected him to debut the game with an enormous rating. As expected, he has been given a 68 overall to start his journey in NBA 2k25.

NBA fans have mixed reactions to Bronny’s NBA 2k25 rating

The 68 overall rating makes Bronny James tied with 16 other players for the worst rating among this year’s rookie class. Now, one may wonder how the NBA community took on this revelation. Well, it was a mixed reaction, with many fans still claiming James’ son is rated too high.

While some fans gave a fair assessment of Bronny’s rating, a few joked that he should have been in the high 80s for his sensational college run.

Ultimately, being one of the lowest-rated players in the video game could be a blessing in disguise for Bronny. After all, it can light a fire under James Jr. to prove his doubters wrong by the end of his rookie year.

But it goes without saying that it’ll be a long journey for him. He averaged just 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game for the Lakers during the 2025 NBA Summer League. He will have to prove his worth if he wants to get some playing time on a team hoping to secure another deep playoff run in the upcoming season.
