Team USA was on top of the world after securing their fifth straight gold medal finish in the Olympics. However, according to Anthony Edwards , the group of NBA superstars had to postpone their locker room celebration for a few minutes because of a drug test.

In an appearance with Jalen Rose at Fanatics Fest, the Minnesota Timberwolves guard spilled the beans and also engaged in a comical banter with Kevin Durant .

"We couldn't really celebrate in the locker room for real because me, him (Kevin Durant), and Steph had to take a drug test or something," Ant-man revealed.

We're unsure if this information is confidential, but Ant-Man was casual enough to talk about it. KD wasn't in a tell-all mood, as evidenced by his reaction, but Edwards' "honesty" prevailed. Ant continued to fan the flames as if these details weren't enough.

"He supposed to get one after that Serbia game," the two-time All-Star commented.

    Drug-Test-Worthy Performances

After struggling in the group phase, Steph Curry started cooking in the semifinals against Serbia and the gold medal match against France. The two-time NBA MVP erupted against Nikola Jokic and the Serbs and finished with 36 points (nine threes), eight rebounds, and two assists. Curry got the steal and a fastbreak layup to give USA the lead, 91-86, with over a minute left.

As they say, one good turn deserves another. The four-time champ once again answered the offensive call, leading the team in scoring with 24 points, all from distance. The 36-year-old made four treys in less than three minutes, including the dagger' Night, night' rainbow over two defenders to seal the game.

    Olympic Drug-Testing

It looked like the Ant-man was mumbling innocent nothings about drug testing, but he wasn't joking. The 2024 Paris Olympics official website states, "the IOC has established a zero-tolerance policy to combat cheating and hold accountable anyone responsible for using or providing doping products." Olympic drug testing has been around since the 1968 games in Mexico City.

Fighting against cheats and dopers involves using highly stringent drug-testing methods. Every Olympic athlete was subjected to these random drug tests, especially before and after competing. Therefore, Ant, Steph, and KD were not "targeted;" they complied with the rules as part of the Olympic process.

That said, Edwards divulging such information that way was pure comedy. Ant-man and the Slim Reaper should launch a podcast soon, and it will be a sure hit, no pun intended.
