The 2024 Paris Olympics are over, and the members of the USAB are returning to their offseason schedules to prepare for the new NBA season. Each player follows a different regime to be in peak game condition when the campaign starts.

Some may opt to go on a short vacation with their families to enjoy the quality time before the 82-game grueling schedule unfolds, while others simply focus on further improving their craft.

With that in mind, fans are always eager to learn about their favorite players' daily routines as they prepare for the new beginning. Recently, Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards were asked about their own offseason regimens.

    KD reveals offseason preparations

Edwards and Durant are coming off a terrific summer by helping Team USA win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. They will surely enjoy some time off before getting right back into preparations for winning an NBA Championship next season.

Keeping that in mind, former NBA player Jalen Rose recently asked Ant and KD about their typical day-to-day activities amid preparations for a new campaign.

“Usually around this time in summer, I’m just getting up and playing pick-up every day,” KD said . “Trying to get my body conditioned to go up and down. I’ve been working out the majority of the summer, individuals. So, now I feel like it’s time to get some bumps in up and down the court. So I lift or I go hoop in the morning, it’s 10 or 11 then lift right afterward and that’s why day.

Durant seems to keep his workout routine pretty simple. The Slim Reaper focuses on playing pick-up basketball and then hits the gym to stay in shape, which is pretty usual for a player of his caliber.

    Edwards’ approach in the offseason

While the two-time NBA champion is focused on balancing his workout and pick-up basketball routines, the same cannot be said for the Minnesota Timberwolves star.

“I just workout,” Ant said. “I don’t think I play too much pick-up. I just workout like three times a day.”

Both KD and Edwards are considered among the top players in the league right now. However, they take different approaches to their preparations, which is also evident from their hardwood playing styles.

The Suns forward is renowned for his exceptional scoring ability and smooth finesse, often dazzling with his offensive versatility. In contrast, the Wolves guard typically emphasizes a more aggressive, physical style of play, frequently aiming to overpower opponents and make highlight-reel dunks. Their contrasting approaches reflect their unique playing styles and contribute to their distinct roles on the court.
