Highly touted five-star cornerback DJ Pickett announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers via social media Wednesday. Pickett committed to the Tigers over Georgia, Miami, and Oregon.

Pickett, a 6-foot-4, 179-pound native of Zephyrhills, FL, started as both wide receiver and defensive back in his junior season at Zephyrhills High School. He collected 52 passes for 1,033 yards and 15 touchdowns on offense and 31 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception returned for a touchdown on defense.

Pickett is the No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 1 prospect in Florida, according to On3 .

Pickett is also considered a five-star plus recruit, which indicates that he is graded as a five-star in all four major recruiting platforms (On3, 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals). The 2025 recruiting class has eight other prospects who hold such a distinction.

Following Pickett's commitment, LSU's 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 3 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC. He is the third five-star prospect to join LSU's 2025 class, joining quarterback Bryce Underwood and running back Harlem Berry.
