Little Rock, Arkansas – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has been honored as a 2024-2025 Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. In the latest annual Best Hospitals edition, UAMS was recognized as the Best Hospital in the Little Rock metropolitan area, sharing the distinction with Baptist Health Medical Center.
‘Broken Trail’ Movie Being Filmed in Arkansas
According to several sources, an independent Western film, “Broken Trail,” is being filmed in Van Buren. “Broken Trail” is directed by Johnny Remo and produced by Skipstone Pictures. Reminiscent of the Wild West, the movie is set on the backdrop of the Arkansas River Valley, with freshly laid dirt coating the streets of Van Buren’s downtown.
Volunteers take to the field at 13th annual Watermelon Crawl
Hamburgers and hot dogs are fine, but watermelons may be the iconic food of summer, especially here in Arkansas. They can also be expensive, and a rare summer treat for some. FORT SMITH, Ark. — According to Fort Smith police, the intruder who caused an hours-long lockdown at Mercy Hospital on Monday, July 22, is now in custody.
