Baxter County Disaster Recovery Center to be Closed Saturday
The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in Baxter County will be closed on Saturday due to a previously scheduled event. The center located at the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas on 1042 Highland Circle in Mountain Home will resume normal operational hours Monday at 8.Normal hours at the center is 8 to 6 Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays. No appointments necessary.
MH City Council hears how tornado fundraiser will benefit affected Baxter county residents
The Mountain Home City Council Thursday night heard from Mayor Hillrey Adams about the recent fundraiser held for the tornado victims in Baxter County. The event raised between $70,000 and $80,000 to aid those affected by the storms that hit the county May 26. Adams says those that had damage in Baxter County need to go to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas to apply for a grant.
