    A 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck the California-Nevada border region on Sunday morning just after 4 a.m., according to the US Geological Survey. It had a depth of 2 kilometers, or about 1.25 miles.

    The epicenter was reported as about 4 miles east-northeast of Mesa, or a little under 115 miles east-northeast of Merced. At least 40 people reported feeling the earthquake in Bishop.

    There were no power or gas outages in the area following the quake, according to PG&E's live outage map.
