NJ State Triathlon to Cause Area Road Closures This Weekend
HAMILTON, NJ - On Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21, thousands of athletes and spectators will take over Mercer County Park for the annual New Jersey State Triathlon. Local officials are advising residents to plan for heavier traffic, and parking restrictions along Hughes Drive from Edinburg Road to Quakerbridge Road. Closures will happen on area main roads including Old Trenton Road, Quakerbridge Road, Hughes Road and others beginning at 5:00 a.m. both days for the biking and running portions of the competition. Four Little League baseball teams in New Jersey are vying to take a big step toward punching their ticket to Williamsport. The state tournament for Little League Baseball U12 will begin Wednesday (July 24). The double elimination tournament will be held at Freehold Township Little League (65 Georgia Rd).
