When we tell outsiders where we’re from, we all get the eye roll. We’ve all heard the Jersey dis about smokestacks, pollution, litter, and grime. No one ever thinks of farmland, the gorgeous lakes and mountains, the Jersey shore, the hiking trails, the nature. All we ever hear about is the dirty reputation, which just isn’t warranted or fair.
Bayonne Summer Camps Set to Welcome More than 1,400 Children This Year
BYAONNE, NJ - The City of Bayonne's Division of Recreation summer camps are set to welcome more than 1400 children this year, according to Pete Amadeo, Bayonne’s Recreation Superintendent. While several specialty camps have been taking place during the last week of June the main summer camps begin on Monday, July 1. Orientation meetings for the nearly 200 counselors hired to help run the camps and other programs have also been ongoing, Amadeo said. Earthquake hits upstate New York
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — First New York City, now upstate New York. An earthquake occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed. The a 3.4-magnitude quake occurred in Jefferson County, and was centered in Lake Ontario. It could be felt in parts of Canada, and Central and Northern New York, according to a map provided by the USGS.

BAYONNE, NJ- Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that produce market vouchers are available for low-income seniors through the Bayonne Office on Aging. The seniors’ farmers’ market nutrition program is designed to provide low-income seniors with access to locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs.
