GAUTIER, Miss. (WLOX) - Pascagoula-Gautier teachers and staff are kicking off the year on Thursday with a pep-rally style convocation. Pascagoula-Gautier School District Superintendent Billy Ellzey says, “This year was really exciting because we let our students lead the way. They MC’d it, they did speeches, they did the National Anthem, they did all of those things that got our teachers excited. That’s our why. That’s why we’re here, is to be for students. And once you give students the opportunity, they shine.”

MGCCC Hosts Funding Your Future workshops
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College held a “Funding Your Future” workshop on July 16 at the Jackson County Campus. This event was designed to assist students in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the help of college personnel, as well as to provide information on other funding sources such as scholarships. Additionally, students received guidance on registering for classes.
