Sherman Park Grocery Store—Neighborhood Grocery Store Serves Up More Than Food
Maurice (“Moe”) and Yashica Spears Wince, co-owners of Sherman Park Grocery, are bringing back the nostalgia of a corner grocery store to the Sherman Park neighborhood. They are not only meeting the needs of this community by providing fresh produce, but they are also building relationships, providing good customer service and building trust among neighbors. Currently Sherman Park Grocery has the distinction of being the only Black-owned, full scale grocery store in the state of Wisconsin.
