GEORGETOWN — Though the public record remains closed and therefore new information can’t be submitted, the Sussex County Council has listed the perimeter buffer ordinance, mandating space between neighborhoods, on its agenda for Aug. 27.

In general, there has been little overt resistance to the idea of proposed rules. Instead, the disagreements come down to the details.

The size, shape, density and composition of the buffers, along with penalties for encroaching or clear cutting are under review, as well as several others. What these limits actually are won’t be settled until the ordinance passes.
