Twelve Delaware Restaurants Awarded for their Wines
Culinary magazine Wine Spectator has awarded 12 of Delaware's restaurants for their wine. “The restaurant industry is growing and thriving, with restaurant openings surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time. To take advantage of the uptick, restaurateurs are investing in their wine programs,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Editor and Publisher, Wine Spectator. “Restaurants that make wine a priority are what the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards program is all about. I’m pleased to congratulate all 3,777 restaurants for their dedication to wine and exemplary wine lists.”

Delaware lawmakers seek to tighten gun control laws
(The Center Square) — Delaware lawmakers pushed through a series of gun control measures on the final day of their legislative session, including a proposal that would restrict firearms on college campuses. One Democratic-led proposal would set new restrictions on the right to carry at higher education institutions by adding them to the state's School Safe Zone Act, which already restricts firearms at kindergarten, elementary, secondary and vocational-technical schools. Millsboro ushers in July with Stars and Stripes event
The Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce held its annual Stars and Stripes event June 29 at the Millsboro Little League fields. The day culminated with a grand fireworks display. The event included 12 food trucks, a concession stand, 25 vendors, entertainment by DJ Brian K. Hall, and fireworks launched by Brother’s Pyro LLC.
