Early registration ends on Thursday, July 4, so now is the time for parents to sign up their young athletes. The registration fee for football will increase to $65 after July 4, so early registration is encouraged to take advantage of the current rate. NEW HAVEN, Conn. (7/3/24) More than 2,000 student-athletes on Tuesday were honored by being placed on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Spring 2024 Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. A total of 2,123 honorees made the list which recognizes student-athletes who earned a term grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2024 semester.
North Haven Rotary Foundation Presents Scholarships for Local Gateway Students
Michael Hallahan, the assistant to the treasurer for the North Haven Rotary Foundation, recently presented a $2,000 check to Gateway Community College which will fund two $1,000 scholarships for local students. Hallahan presented the check to two members of Gateway’s Office of Institutional Advancement in Victoria Dancy, development associate/scholarship coordinator; and Gena DeSisto, assistant to the associate dean.
Highlighting Spring Academic Success, SCSU Owls Place 284 On NE10 Academic Honor Roll
Southern Connecticut State University Athletics & Recreation featured 284 student-athletes placed on the Northeast-10 Conference Spring 2024 Academic Honor Roll. Of the 284 student-athletes, 40 received Academic Excellence recognition after registering a 4.00 grade-point average for the Spring semester. The Owls also had 147 student-athletes finish with a GPA of 3.50 to 3.99 and were recognized with Academic Distinction honors. The remaining 97 student-athletes received Academic Honors with a GPA from 3.00 to 3.49.
