JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A single-vehicle collision late Saturday night resulted in one fatality, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP). Bluffton man sentenced after pleading guilty in Jan. 6 Capitol attack
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCSC) - A Beaufort County man was sentenced Friday after he pleaded guilty to charges connected to the Jan. 6 Capitol Breach. Tyler Bradley Dykes, 26, of Bluffton, is sentenced to 57 months, or nearly five years, in prison, as well as three years of supervised release and must pay $22,000 in fines and restitution.

Bluffton Fire responded to 4 structure fires as severe storms passed the area Friday
BLUFFTON, S.C. (WTOC) - Fire crews in Bluffton responded to four calls for structure fires Friday as severe thunderstorms passed through the area. According to a post on thier social media page, Bluffton Fire says three homes were damaged by fire with varying degrees of severity. No injuries were reported.
