Beaufort Food Lion has beef recall due to ‘foreign material’

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) – Food Lion is notifying customers of its store located at 10 Sams Point Road in Beaufort of a recall involving two varieties of in-store prepared ground beef.

This recall affects the 73% Fresh Ground Beef (all sizes) and the 80% Fresh Ground Chuck (all sizes) products.

Customers may have last purchased the affected product on June 30, 2024. The affected product was produced on June 30, 2024, with a sell by date of July 2, 2024.

Food Lion says the product has been removed from their meat section and customers who purchased the affected product should not consume it because it may contain traces of foreign material.

Customers who purchased the affected products can return it to their local Food Lion store for a refund equal to double the purchase price in accordance with Food Lion’s “Double Your Money Back Guarantee.”
