Coroner hosts National Fentanyl Awareness Day event in Ridgeland
A framed list of dates which would rather be forgotten sat on a table as a solemn reminder of those lives lost to fentanyl in Jasper County over the last three years. The list, along with a candle and balloons represented the toll the drug has taken within the county. The display was a part of the National Fentanyl Awareness Day event held May 7 and hosted by Jasper County Coroner Willie Aiken at his office in Ridgeland.
Bluffton's DuBois Park closed indefinitely after tree destroys pavilion
BLUFFTON, S.C. — Bluffton town officials say DuBois Park is closed after powerful storms brought down trees right on top of the pavilion. The park is located on Lawrence Street, near Boundary Street.
