Southside Blvd. park entrance closing postponed
BEAUFORT, S.C. (July 20, 2024) – The Southside Boulevard entrance to Southside Park will not be closed on July 22-23, as stated in an earlier media release. The closing, to allow milling and paving of the road, has been postponed. The City will send out an updated release with dates once those are set.

Benedict alumni help HBCU break annual fundraising goal
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Benedict College is celebrating a decade of giving. 42 of the 63 alumni clubs, from the college have surpassed their yearly fundraising goal which goes to support several hardworking Benedict students. School officials say they wanted to reach their goal of $1.5 million dollars, but eclipsed that amount by more than $200 thousand dollars for a total of $1,730,173.45 dollars.

RiverDogs and Woodpeckers suspended by rain Friday night
Charleston, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs and Fayetteville Woodpeckers had their Friday night game at Segra Stadium suspended by rain after two innings. Rain also delayed the start of the contest for over two hours. The suspended game will resume at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with the RiverDogs trailing 3-1 in the top of third inning. It will be played through seven innings. Another seven-inning game will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
