Kain Killmer Prepares for Future
Recent Perry graduate, Kain Killmer, is preparing for his future outside of Perry. The multisport athlete is getting ready to take off for UW-Platteville, where he will wrestle. He just wrapped up his high school career when baseball ended earlier this month. He participated in football, wrestling, and baseball while at Perry. “Now that baseball is over I’ve been able to really focus on lifting hard and not worrying about fatiguing for games or anything like that. I’ve been good to go and getting plenty of mat time.” He’s excited to make the move and to get to work. His future coaches are already keeping him busy. “We text back and forth and will call each other. They’ve been sending me these great workout plans kind of telling me what I should expect and what I need to look forward to.” The UW-Platteville season begins on November 4th. Killmer hopes to make it into some of the varsity meets as a freshman.

Many organizations rushed to the aid of the Perry Community School District after the tragic events that occurred. The school board approved to bring in several support administrators to assist the current staff navigating through the difficult time. Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks is happy with the resilience the community is displaying.
