Newborn Found in Dumpster: Mother Located, Investigation Underway
The Greenville police have now identified and located the juvenile mother of the newborn baby found inside a dumpster this past Sunday, January 14, 2024. Officers located the baby when they responded to a call at 1547 Bridle Circle at approximately 10:23 a.m. Sunday morning. The call was for a welfare check. The caller stated that a child was in a dumpster near an apartment building.

Deanna Charyle Kyle a 54-year-old female was last seen on December 30, 2023, at the 2200 block of Irvin St. in Oxford, North Carolina. She also sent a text last on January 8, 2024, which showed her last location as Mebane, North Carolina.
Man Wanted for Murder by Burlington Police
An update from January 12, 2024, Friday detectives have identified Tamile Ameer Cohn, as the suspect in the January 10, 2024 murder of Davon Darnell Smith. The Burlington Police Department and the Burlington Regional SWAT team executed a search warrant at the home of Cohn, who was not at home at the time.

A man from La Grange was arrested on January 08, 2024, for breaking-and-entering twice on Bulltown Road. Markis Green, pictured above, was arrested on Monday after Lenoir County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a breaking-and-entering in progress call at a Bulltown Road residence.
