Archie’s Cruise-ins to kick off in Beckley

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — Downtown Beckley will be humming with the motors of dozens of classic cars on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Archie’s Cruisers will be having a Cruise-in through Beckley, showcasing the cars of the community.

The cruisers will gather at Leisure Lanes on Johnstown Road starting at 5 PM.

Jill Moorefield, Director of Beckley Events, said she loves seeing all of the cars.

“It’s just great to see them all. People really take a lot of pride in their vehicles and, you know, you see anything from the 1920s to present,” said Moorefield. “It’s a whole variety; cars, and trucks, and sometimes there’s some motorcycles that come out.”

Archie’s Cruisers have been spotted at a few events around Beckley, the most recent of which was the Cars, Coffee, and Cruise on Memorial Day.

The cruisers will ride around town and end out on Main Street.

Quiet Enough, a local 80s band, will be performing nearby in Shoemaker Square and several local businesses will be open late for the event.
