Affidavit: Man faces murder charge following deadly shooting, others arrested during investigation
A man is facing a murder charge after police said he shot and killed another man following a fight at a north Austin apartment complex in May, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KXAN. Two other people were also arrested during the investigation.

Austin police investigating double homicide on South Pleasant Valley Road
AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Department (APD) officers are investigating a double homicide following a shooting on South Pleasant Valley Road late Wednesday night. On June 26, 2024, at approximately 11:31 p.m., APD officers responded to reports of gunfire and screaming at 2317 South Pleasant Valley Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, an approximately 39-year-old Hispanic male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second victim, an approximately 30-year-old Hispanic male, later died at the hospital.
