Injured hiker rescued on "M" Trail near Bozeman
On July 2, 2024, at 8:51 PM Gallatin County 911 Dispatch received a call from a hiker in need of assistance. The hiker had been trail running with a group when they injured their leg. The hiker provided his location indicating he was close to the top of Baldy Mountain. The hiker indicated they were in a group with three other individuals who were assisting them down the mountain.

City of Bozeman to host annual firework show for Fourth
The City of Bozeman is hosting its annual Fourth of July fireworks show from the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The show will begin at 10 p.m. and run approximately a half hour. The fireworks show is made possible by a partnership formed in 2023 between Bozeman Fire and local business sponsors following the city-wide ban on personal fireworks.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Bozeman Health officials say the most common injury they see during the Fourth of July holiday are thermal burns from firework explosions. “Over the last four years we’ve had 20 significant burn injuries that required either a transfer out of the state or admission into our hospital,” said Heather Wicks, Bozeman Health’s trauma program system manager.
