    Autopsy shows that an Ohio 1-year-old died from fentanyl overdose after father dropped daughter of at hospital covered in fentanyl

    An autopsy released by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner shows that 1-year-old from Ohio has died due to fentanyl overdose.

    A one-year-old from Bellaire, Ohio died at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh on April 24 after she was dropped off at East Ohio Regional Hospital’s (EORH) emergency department.

    Belmont County officials say 38-year-old Cameron Cothran of Bellaire dropped the child off at EORH and left.

    Officials say that the 1-year-old was covered in fentanyl after being dropped off

    Cothran has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, evidence tampering and possession of a federally regulated compound.

    Cothran pleaded innocent in his first court appearance. He has been out on bond since his court appearance

    Officials say Cothran was raising the baby by himself, living on Harrison Street in Bellaire They say the mother is serving prison time in another part of Ohio.

    Sheriff Dave Lucas says this is the third child in Belmont County this year with drug exposure but the first to die.
