Folsom man dead in Chalmette traffic crash, police say
A Folsom man died in a traffic crash in Chalmette Tuesday afternoon, according to Louisiana State Police. Police say 35-year-old Andrew Sartalamacchia was walking down Pelitere Drive at about 4:30 a.m. when he stepped into the southbound lanes of Louisiana Highway 39. He was then hit and injured by a 2014 Ford pickup truck driving south, according to police.
