Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros. announce fall symphony-backed shows
Grateful Dead’s Bobby Weir has announced a set of shows that will have him backed by symphonies from each city he plays in. Billed as Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros featuring The Wolfpack, the fall tour hits three cities, starting Nov. 13 in Cincinnati, backed by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. They’ll then play Chicago Nov. 17-18, with the Chicago Philharmonic, before wrapping the trek Nov. 22-23 in New Orleans, backed by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A Louisiana dermatologist is educating beauty professionals about skin cancer. “The Heads Up program was actually established by the Skin Cancer Foundation, because there were so many individuals that were being seen by hair stylists and actually lesions were seen in the scalp,” said Dr. Barbara Bopp of Bopp Dermatology. “We need to help hair stylists realize that they could be first responders.”

Louisiana Versus Litter: The Litter Hotline
It's no surprise that Shreveport has been in a battle against litter, earlier this year Shreveport Police Department announced they had made their first litter-related arrest. Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, along with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF), and Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) are launching a statewide program to fight back against litter. Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser says "We are ramping up litter enforcement in Louisiana with support from the State Police, Wildlife and Fisheries agents, and local law enforcement. It's important that we educate those guilty of littering and work together to keep Louisiana Beautiful."
