Rabid Raccoon Reported on Deans Lane in South Brunswick
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - A rabid raccoon was found near Deans Lane in South Brunswick on Saturday, according to the township. The raccoon was retrieved by animal control and was reported to the New Jersey State Department of Health Laboratory. It was confirmed to have rabies on Wednesday. According to a press release, the raccoon had an altercation with a resident’s dog. It is the third rabid animal detected in Middlesex County for this year, according to a press release. Residents are reminded to report any wild animals showing signs of unusual behavior and to avoid contact with them. Common signs of rabies are slow movement, excess saliva, and acting aggressive. This dynamic adaptation, featuring an original rock score by Princeton native Zoe Sarnak and a book by the film's screenwriter Carol Heikkinen, is set to capture the hearts of audiences with dynamic and defiant characters, throwback nostalgia, and an electrifying soundtrack. Empire Records: The Musical is produced by special arrangement with Bill Weiner. It will run September 6 – October 6, 2024 in McCarter's Berlind Theatre.
