COLLINSVILLE — Collinsville High School’s Ethan Bagwell had his dreams come true, twice in the span of a little less than nine months. Monday afternoon the 6-4 230 pound pitcher was selected in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Atlanta Braves. Last November he signed a National Letter of Intent to throw for the University of Missouri and the premier conference in college baseball the Southeastern Conference.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt’s Andrew Dutkanych IV was drafted in the seventh round by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2024 MLB Draft with the 201st overall pick Monday. Dutkanych made five appearances in an injury-shortened sophomore season in 2024. The righty totaled 14 strikeouts over 10.2 innings.
