Ready to head back to school? See fall 2024-25 district calendars for Belleville area

Back-to-school season is just around the corner for many southwestern Illinois students, and with a new school year comes a new schedule for exams, holidays and breaks.
For those still checking off some fall to-do list items, some St. Clair County students are eligible for free physical exams and school supplies under a new District 201 health and wellness clinic.
Belleville School District 118 and Belleville Township High School District 201 each have online calendars showing important dates for the school year. Here are the dates you should know for Belleville public schools this fall, including the first and last days of the semester and break schedules.
Belleville School District 118
First day of school: Aug. 15
No school for Labor Day: Sept. 2
First quarter mid-term: Sept. 16
No school for teacher institute: Oct. 11
No school for Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Oct. 14
End of first quarter: Oct. 18
Half-day for school improvement day: Oct. 31
No school for daytime parent/teacher conferences: Nov. 1
No school: Nov. 4 to Nov. 5
Evening parent/teacher conferences, regular school schedule: Nov. 6 to Nov. 7
No school for Veterans Day: Nov. 11
Second quarter mid-term: Nov. 25
No school for Thanksgiving holiday: Nov. 27 to Nov. 29
