This is the second time in the ten-year history of the KCAC Head Athletic Trainer of the Year award that a trainer from Sterling has earned the honor (Pete Manely, 2015-16), and this is the first time a Bethany athletic training staff member has earned the honor in the three-year history of the Staff Athletic Trainer of the Year award.
Wood County fire destroys structure, claims lives of two dogs
WALKER — A fire which destroyed an outbuilding and killed two pets at a residence in Walker is being ruled accidental. The Deerwalk Volunteer Fire Department, along with the East Wood and Waverly volunteer fire departments, responded to 877 Wright Rd. in Walker to a report of a structure fire Monday at around 4:30 p.m., said Deer Walk Fire Chief Matt Whitlatch.
